To my surprise, it works perfectly.
Its been in use now (24/7) for 4 months. It never turns off. The digital screen works perfectly keeping me informed of what is going on at this moment. Understanding what duty cycle is, I bought this unit because it is much larger than what I need. So it does its job just coasting along at slightly above a idle, and it does it without the fan coming on. I average pulling 800 watts. But I do it 100% silent. At 800 watts of draw, the unit is not even warm to the touch.

I could have bought a less expensive smaller unit and made it work harder. But then I would have had to listen to the cooling fan and I did not want that. And the harder you work a unit, the faster they wear out for an average. So instead of being the guy that complains the fan is loud and noisy, (and I would have been that guy) I just plain outsmarted the problem and its totally silent and I love it.

For me it’s proven to be great quality for the money. I would buy it again. It powers my desktop computers and prevents them from crashing when my local power goes out once a week for 5 second intervals. I do a lot of audio recording and the pure sine wave, makes no trash noise at all.To my surprise, it works perfectly.

replaced an accurate tools 5000watt pure sine wave inverter with this one.
works great, have it connected to 8 100ah deep cycle marine batteries have driven up to 25 amps at 120 volts. unlike other less exensive ones this ones stays at 120-122volts even under low battery and 20 amp loads. Immediatly shuts off at 10.5 volts and immeditely resumes automatically when the batteries go over 12 volts.
It’s sine wave is perfect all appliances frigde, washer, dryer, dishwasher, microwave, kherig, laptop, cell phone chargers,weedwacker,15amp air compressor, 10″tablesaw and lighting mostly led all work just fine.replaced an accurate tools 5000watt pure sine wave inverter with this one.

Solid Performing Pure Sine Wave Inverter
Reviewed in the United States on December 1, 2019
      Size: 12V 3500W V1.0Verified Purchase
Positives: this EDECOA 3500W pure sine wave inverter successfully powered all household loads I threw at it. A full list below. The output waveform is a fairly clean sine wave – see the attached image.

Concerns: It is a rather bulky form factor compared with similarly rated units so make sure you can accommodate the space required. It’s tall! I’m not a huge fan of the thumbscrew 12v lug connections. I prefer nut and bolt connections that other units have since they allow for easier tightening/torquing with a wrench.

I was looking for an inverter to power household loads. I tested ANOTHER “pure sine wave” inverter but was unhappy with its ability to handle a variety of loads, especially starting motor loads. The EDECOA 3500W inverter performed admirably. It delivered rated voltage output, about 120v with both 12v and 14.8v inputs I tested.

This was the first pure sine wave inverter I tested that was stout enough to provide inrush current for motor starting on my refrigerator, miter saw, and shop vac. The inverter produced no noticeable buzzing at electronic loads like an LED TV and ceiling fans. LED lights all worked and dimmed normally with no buzzing.

Summary of loads tested (one at a time) – All loads started and operated normally:
      1. LED lights – various sizes
      2. Full size refrigerator/freezer – 15.4 LRA (locked rotor amps) compressor
      3. Shop Vac – 11 Amps
      4. Miter Saw – 15 Amps
      5. 65″ LED TV
      6. Belt Drive Garage Door Opener
      7. Ceiling fans

With the larger loads (shop vac, miter saw, refrigerator), I saw the output voltage dip slightly to 110v during startup but the devices continued to operate normally and the inverter quickly returned to 120v output once the loads were fully started.

Great inverter love the remote control.
Overall this inverter is all that you can ask for from a 3500watt (7000watt) surge inverter. The overall size is a bit large but my guess is the larger case size helps the internal fans keep the unit cool. So far I love this tool. You can never really tell what you have until that emergency moment and you need the power.

      Works great so far.
I used this as an upgrade from my 2000 watt inverter. This unit can handle my laser printer that I have in my office while I’m running on solar. The remote control works great but I simply don’t have a use for it. It’s just basically an on-off switch.Works great so far.

      Very good performance.
I replaced a burned up 1800 watt inverter with this 3500 watt inverter a few months ago and it has worked great. I use the remote display all the time to check the voltage level. I’m only running a refrigerator and freezer through this so far, but I’m impressed that it hasn’t even gotten warm. It seems more efficient than my previous inverter. My batteries seems to hold a charge longer.Very good performance.

Can handle the frig/freezer during power outage
wanted to make sure frig/freezer had power during power outage and this unit can provide it. Some notes: 1. THE UNIT consumes about 50 watts just to run, 2. THE UNIT has a large internal capacitor bank so when you connect the DC power leads you may see an initial SPARK on the wires, 4. Suggest adding bigger (thicker) longer battery cables, 3. Make sure you have enough SOLAR panel and STORAGE battery capacity (amp hours) to cover the use duration. Can handle the frig/freezer during power outage

Not connected yet, but looks awesome.
Unit arrived in a generic box with foam inserts, which was slightly disappointing, but the manual is well written and easy to understand. It seems and feels well made with well thought out construction and features. It looks and feels brand new / void of signs of prior use, repair or refurbishment. At first glance, this promises to be an awesome inverter. I will update upon connection, trial and use, but for now – I do recommend this EDECOA 3.5K psw 12 volt inverter. Not connected yet, but looks awesome.

      Perfect for use in truck
I am using this in my semi truck and with the remote control i have it mounting in a side compartment out of the way. It has plenty of power to run a bunn coffee maker, 1000 watt microwave and a hot pot at the same time. With it being a sine wave it doesn’t make electronic interference with other devices on the truck like my cb radio. I’ve only had it a few weeks with no problems hopefully it will last, if not, will update.Perfect for use in truck

Very efficent and low draw when not being used
The unit is just a bit smaller than the size of the last unit I had but it is a bit deeper The last unit was only a 3000 watt and this unit is a 3500 watt it has more plug connections it has a service that you can hard wire in to your elect system it also has digital read out for volts and other info and it was at a cost slightly less than my original unit
Am very pleased with its preformance and it is on 24/7 it does not get turned off since i live in my RV and it supplies all the power for normal living.Very efficent and low draw when not being used

      Best inverter for the money
After going through several vendors on Amazon, I found EDCOA’s inverter. I installed it to run my refrigerator and freezer for backup power. The other inverters often would not tolerate the startup surge and also seemed to have a higher demand for power than the EDECOA. My batteries would drain quickly. With the EDCOA, I have a longer run time. Quality construction and easy to install.Best inverter for the money
Quality construction and easy to install.

      Works like advertised.
I like the convenience of the remote switch to power the device on and off along with the dummy bars to show remaining capacity. Max load I have used is 10 Amps, which is nothing to capacity. No fan noise/motors etc. just quiet converstion.

      So far so good
I debated for a long time about what wattage of inverter I should get for my cargo trailer/camper conversion. With what I would be using, a 2000 watt would have been fine but I chose the 3500 watt for any future additions and I can not be happier. 1 marine/rv battery 100 ah hooked to this inverter and it ran my jig saw without any issues at all. Of course I had to try the 5000 btu ac, even though we had a cold front come through here in Texas and it’s 65 degrees, and it ran flawlessly. Nice display shows the amp draw, battery life, input and output voltage. I am very happy I spent the extra money on this 3500 watt. Now for more batteries to run more things. Because of this unit, I will be upgrading my solar panels to be completely self sufficient when we camp.So far so good

      Whole house inverter
I work in places that often has zero grid power. I bought this and two 200AH AGM batteries charged with a 20 amp two bank marine charger. I use a 1000w inverter honda generator to keep them topped up. The inverter is wired to the regular 220v house panel.
For a year ive been running a 3/4hp well pump, sewage pump, big fridge, chest freezer washing machine, and other regular home and office stuff averaging a steady 3amps. This inverter with my hybrid setup has saved thousands in operational costs and added reliable power wherever I bring it.Whole house inverter

Impressive, runs water well with step up transformer
Impressive. I was able to run a 240v single phase 3/4hp water well pump with this 3500w inverter converting 12v to 120v, then using another step up transformer from 120v to 240v single phase unit also found on Amazon, and using a solar set up to charge the batteries. So this brand labeled theirs 3500w actually means it is capable of 3500w. I tried another 3000w inverter brand that ends in LB but it tripped that unit and did not work, although calculations would say that 3000w would be adequate for the start up. Of course this one is 3500w, and the other brand was 3000w, but because the price of each of these are the same, thus it’s a fair comparison. So, I am impressed with its actual rating and capability, and not just a false rating value. This unit has a very useful amperage display that shows what amperage the load is drawing too. As to the longevity, I cannot evaluate yet as I just started using it. The cooling fan is loud though. I ran the 120v inverter to get 120v for other purposes, and added a separate step up unit to the 240v for the water well, thus I used this dual device setup instead of all in one from 12v to 240v. If one of the unit fails, it would not be a total lost.Impressive, runs water well with step up transformer

Working well so far for off grid cabin
Using for my off grid cabin and so far after two weeks it’s been good and not one issue. Using with 800 watts of solar and 8 lead acid 6volt batts wired for 12v. Easily runs my microwave, Kurig coffee maker, band saw and any of my power tools without a start up drop like generators have. For now I recommend it.
Will report back if I have any issues.Working well so far for off grid cabin

Perfect for my RV. You must isolate circuits to avoid compatibility issues.
I installed the “version 2″ inverter in my RV. I did not use the included 12 volt cables, as I opted for a hassle-free design; not risking overloading these thinner battery cables. I used 4/0 gauge wire and appropriate lugs to run ~4′ total length (each) to connect 2 batteries in parallel, a 200 amp fuse, battery disconnect, and negative shunt. While all the components are next to one another, this is how much wire (cable) length I ended up using. I am able to power my 1800 watt microwave, as well as all other appliances which use less power (not all at the same time). I will NOT attempt to start my 15,000 btu A/C, due to the damage (from the inital power draw) it would do to my 200 amp-hour battery bank, so I can not speak on the feasibility of using the inverter for this purpose. I imagine it would stress the inverter with the initial start up draw as well, but this is just an opinion.

You can not use your existing RV electrical circuits *as is,” as they typically have “neutral” and “ground” bonded together in the breaker panel. This is was causes issues with compatibility as reported in other reviews. To isolate the existing circuits, (I isolated 3 circuits) I used DPDT switches (ASIN B00R8MMBWS) to switch between the two power sources, the breaker panel OR the inverter. You must have working knowledge of electrical principles to accomplish the integrated circuit installation, knowledge which can be obtained through research. Otherwise, just run dedicated circuits from the inverter, however, you would have to relocate your plugs whenever switching from inverter power to shore power or vice-versa.

As others have commented, the unit has a large form factor, which may pose an issue if your space is limited, however, I found room for it, and I feel the size and volume of the inverter assists with heat disapation. I have yet to gave the cooling fans go on, so I can not answer to how loud they are.

Some may think, “well of course he can power his 1800 watt microwave with a 3500 watt inverter.” It important to note, with starting appliances, there is an initial power draw which can far exceed the stated wattage/amperage of electrical equipment, thus it is important to choose an inveter which exceeds the load you are requiring. This allows for a trouble-free installation. I am thus far, very pleased with the performance and value of this pure-sine wave inverter. I did extensive research prior to selecting this manufacturer. If you have the room, I would recommend this particular model.Perfect for my RV. You must isolate circuits to avoid compatibility issues.

      Powerful and Fine Quality
Update 10/16/2020. Syatem with MidNite Solar Classic 200V and added 6 additions batteries on 10/09/2020.
This inverter is still a “beast”. The hardest test was using my 12in miter saw with it. Steady 12a output after start. No saw slowdown when mitering a 4 x 4in post. Doesn’t even blink when using our washing machine, fridge and fans. Battery bank consists of 6 Duracell 115 golf cart batts (230Ah) each and 6 Trojan T-105′s (225Ah) each. 6 sets of 2 batts wired in series for 12V and then in parallel. Full sun keeps the charge indicator on full. Haven’t used tech support and do not travel so no ratings there. We recommend this inverter to all solar users. Not sure warranty, but Edecoa responds to email when other seller brands do not. For the price, if it lasts several years we are not concerned about warranty.

      Works perfectly
I went solar on my Fleetwood Tioga Arrow RV. It has a 4kw generator but only uses 30 amps (3.6kw) max, so I purchased the 3.5 pure sine wave inverter as the main power source with the generator as back up if needed. I ran it four days straight continuously and never had to use the generator once. The solar setup I have is two 250 watt panels (total of 500 watts) with a 40 Amp MPPT Solar Charge Controller and four 100amp hour batteries. We used the lights, TV, Microwave, furnace and various other items. Very impressed with the unit.

looks neat, and seems nice construction
So far so good. It powers up putting the advertised amps. The voltage is solid 120 vac, but the frequency is constantly 61.2 c/s. I do not think this will harm anything, and maybe under load will come down to 60.
In any case. It was shipped fast, in double box heavily foamed inside. Brand new, with the remote working well.

      After 2 months no problems
I use this inverter to power a machine that uses a 15 amp AC motor. It has no problem starting and maintaining a constant 10 amp draw for at least 6 hours straight. I have noticed the fan running a few times when the ambient temperature was higher than 90 degrees F. It reliably shuts down when draw exceeds ratings (when the machine jams and malfunctions). Shutting down is very important to avoid damage to the motor. This product has exceeded all of my expectations. I run it with a bank of 4 deep cycle marine batteries. Originally this setup was intended to temporarily replace a generator but I think I will use it as my permanent outdoor power source. After 2 months no problems

Much better than the old Modified Sine Wave inverter I replaced
This was a bit more expensive than my cheapskate persona wanted to pay for but then when I thought about what I was trying to run with my old inverter and the fact that the Modified Sine Wave inverter could actually damage the appliances and in the end cost me much more than the price of this Pure sine wave inverter, I thought the trade off was well worth the price difference!
And it has proved true. This 3500 watt Pure sine wave inverter came with a remote control unit and was very easy to install even though it was quite a bit bigger than the 2000 watt unit I was replacing. It’s a winner out of the box.
This is a nice unit that in the first few hours of using to recharge tool batteries has worked flawlessly. I also used it to run an air compressor that runs to 200psi. The batteries did struggle a little giving up that much juice that quickly but you can see the status of your battery and the voltage, etc in the LCD screen. I have two batteries connected from a solar panel. It is just the right size wattage to run most things including big stuff like the compressor in a pinch. It did not overheat nor do the fans come on with small stuff like 3 battery charges for 18v cordless tools. It’s a winner. Time will have to tell the longevity.
Works great
I got this because we live in CA and this state cant do anything righy so we had PG E shutting our power off regularly. I got 4 deep cycle marine batteties from my auto parts store and this ran 2 fridge/freezer and TV gaming system to 12 hours no problem. Power is clean and no issues at all. And we can sleep in peace and quet not worrying about the a generator starting a fire.Works great

    • Q: Is this compatible with lithium batteries that charge to 14.6V?
    • No. The working DC input voltage of the 3500w 12v pure sine wave inverter is 10.5V~15.5V.
    • Q: Where do I ground the inverter to? If my batteries are grounded, do I even need to ground the inverter?
    • If using the power inverter at home, the ground should be connected to the ground stake. If using the power inverter on the caravan/automotive, the ground could be connected to the battery’s negative terminal. If any questions, please feel free to contact our customer service team.
    • Q: What is the warranty on this product?
    • We provide a 12-month warranty for each order from the purchased date.
    • Q: Does this have a battery protection logic so you don’t completely drain your batteries?
    • Thanks for your interest. The inverter has low input voltage protection. When the DC input voltage is less than 10.5V, the inverter will stop working.
    • Q: Can the remote control be used to start the unit if the main switch is off?
    • Yes, the remote only works when the main switch is off.
    • Q: Do the fans turn off when there is no load?
    • All EDECOA inverters have a smart fan design to save your battery power. There is a temperature sensor built in the power inverter. The fan will only start to work when the internal temperature is over 45°C/113℉. When it is over 75°C/167℉, the inverter will shut down due to overheating protection to protect the inverter.
    • Q: How long are the red and black power cables that come with the unit?
    • The cable that comes with the inverter is two pairs of 16mm2 and the length is 600mm(3 AWG/1.97 FT.). Any questions, please feel free to contact us.
    • Q: Does this inverter have internal breakers or fuses or does it have to be connected to an ac breaker box to run loads?
    • This model has twelve built-in DC 30A fuses. If you want to add a breaker between the battery and the inverter, a 250A breaker is recommended.
    • Q: What is this device’s THD (%)? what is its no-load current draw?
    • The THD is <3% (Linear load). Its no-load current is less than 0.7A.
    • my charge controller goes thru equalize cycle at 30 v, will this inverter protect itself from over-voltage input?
    • Q: If your controller is compatible with your battery, which means the maximum charging current is within 0.3C and you connect the inverter with the battery, then the inverter will work fine. Even the charging voltage is higher than 31V.
    • Q: Does each ac outlet have a power limit?
    • Only in the sense that the total wattage for all the outlets combined must not exceed 3500 Watts, and the outlet itself is designed to work within 16A which means one single outlet has an output limitation of 2000 Watts. So this model provides an extra output AC wiring terminal.
    • Q: Is this a low-frequency design?
    • This model is a high-frequency design power inverter.
